At its home location adjacent to
NAVSURFWARCENDIV-CRANE (Crane military base), in
Bedford, Indiana, the company operates machinery
and equipment ranging from a
heavy torching operation and large
mobile shears on excavators, to a 1200-hp heavy
metal shredder, which is capable of handling twenty tons of scrap
material per hour. BRI also possesses the
required mobile equipment and personnel
necessary to service remote field sites.
A major concentration of BRI has been
the demilitarization of sensitive military
equipment and ordnance. Under surveillance of
military personnel, BRI has demilitarized and
recycled various aircraft, including the F-4B
Phantom, the AV-8B Harrier, the B-2 Spirit

miscellaneous aircraft and parts. BRI has also
demilitarized over 1600 combat tanks, including
various levels of the M48 and M60A3 Series
tanks.
In
addition, BRI has extensive experience and
specialized machinery & tooling, for processing
3X projectiles into scrap. We have processed
well over 400,000 projectiles ranging in size
from 76mm up to 2700 lb16-inch/50-cal naval
projectiles. All without incident.
BRI has also processed MPPEH material
